Dental treatment

What is Dental Treatment?

Dental treatment is a basic service that helps to maintain dental health and prevent pain, decay, infections or aesthetic problems. At our clinic, dental treatment is carried out gently, professionally and with modern techniques.

Consultation and diagnostics

The first and most important step to successful dental treatment is a thorough initial examination and accurate diagnosis. In our clinic, this process is carried out professionally and in a relaxed atmosphere, so that the patient feels confident and understands every step of the way.

How it works:

  1. Listening to patient complaints
We ask you about any pain, discomfort, sensitivity or aesthetic defects you have noticed.
  2. Oral examination
A thorough visual examination of the teeth, gums and oral mucosa is performed. The doctor looks for signs of decay, cracks, broken fillings or other problems.
  3. X-ray diagnosis (if necessary)
Digital X-rays are taken to assess the internal structure of the tooth, the condition of the roots and possible inflammation. This helps to detect damage that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
  4. Bite and jaw assessment
If necessary, the doctor also checks the correctness of the bite and the function of the jaw joints.
  5. Drawing up a treatment plan
Based on the diagnosis, the doctor will explain what treatment will be needed, what materials will be used, how long the procedure will take and what the costs will be. We always give you complete information so that you can make an informed decision.

The aim: to provide an accurate diagnosis and create a treatment plan that is both effective and right for you.

Anaesthesia (as required)

To make the dental treatment process as comfortable and painless as possible for the patient, we provide effective and safe local anaesthesia.

How it works:

  1. Patient sensitivity assessment
Before the procedure, the doctor asks the patient about previous experience, sensitivity level and assesses whether anaesthesia is needed in the specific case. We always take individual preferences into account.
  2. Administration of local anaesthesia
The anaesthetic is carefully injected into the area where the treatment is planned (usually in the gum next to the tooth to be treated). The most modern and effective anaesthetic agents are used, which act quickly and safely.
  3. Exposure time
Within a few minutes, the anaesthesia provides complete numbness to the treatment area, allowing the patient to feel no pain or discomfort during the procedure.
  4. Monitoring during treatment
We closely monitor the patient’s well-being throughout the procedure and can further anaesthetise the area if necessary.

Our aim: to ensure that each patient feels calm, safe and pain-free throughout the treatment process

Restoring a tooth

After the damaged tissue has been carefully removed and the tooth cleaned, the most important step is to restore the tooth so that it can fully function and look aesthetically pleasing again.

How the tooth is restored:

  1. Choosing the material
We use high-quality, aesthetic composite materials that perfectly match the colour and texture of the natural tooth. The material is matched to your tooth row.
  2. Applying the adhesive system
To ensure a long-lasting and strong filling, a special bonding agent is applied to the tooth to ensure that the material adheres to the tooth tissue.
  3. Application of the filling material
The composite material is applied in layers. Each layer is carefully modelled to the shape and contours of the tooth to restore its natural appearance and function.
  4. Light curing
Each layer of material is cured with a special LED lamp, ensuring strength and stability.
  5. Polishing and adjusting
Once the filling is in place, the dentist checks the bite, adjusts the necessary contact points and polishes the tooth surface to make it smooth, aesthetic and comfortable to chew.

The result: a fully restored tooth that looks natural, is functional and will last for the long term.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about dental treatment

No, in modern dentistry, the treatment is carried out under an effective local anaesthetic, so the procedure is completely painless. We always adjust the dose of anaesthetic to make you feel comfortable.

Typically, a single tooth is treated in 30-60 minutes, depending on the depth and complexity of the decay. In some cases (e.g. root canal treatment), several visits may be necessary.

After the filling, many patients have a slight sensitivity to cold or heat, which passes within a few days. If the sensitivity persists for longer, we recommend that you contact your doctor.

Early caries can go unnoticed because it does not cause pain. We therefore recommend regular visits to the dentist every 6 months to detect it early. At a later stage, tooth sensitivity or pain may appear.

Yes! Damaged milk teeth can cause pain, infections and affect the development of permanent teeth. That’s why treating milk teeth is very important.

A good quality composite sealant lasts on average 5-10 years, depending on oral hygiene, chewing habits and choice of material. Regular visits to the dentist help it last longer.

Yes, a broken tooth can usually be successfully restored with a composite filling. In case of more severe damage, a crown may be necessary.

Yes, especially in the 2nd trimester. Procedures are tailored for safety – we use gentle anaesthesia and, if necessary, X-rays are taken with a special protective cover.

Yes, if you wish, it is possible to repair several teeth in one visit, if this is not medically restricted. The doctor always assesses your comfort and the extent of the treatment.

Yes! Caries and other decay may not cause pain at first, but they continue to develop. Timely treatment is easier, faster and cheaper than treating late complications.
